Open roles at Quantleap
We're a small, focused engineering team working on real problems in financial technology. Below are our current openings — if none of them fit but you think you'd be a good addition, reach out anyway.
Open role
Software Engineer — Full-Stack
Experience: 2–3 years · Reports to: Engineering Lead
You'll work across the full stack on client engagements in financial technology — backend services in Python, cloud infrastructure on AWS, and frontend delivery in React and TypeScript. Expect direct mentorship and a clear path to owning larger pieces of work as you ramp up.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain backend services in Python across client engagements
- Design, deploy, and operate cloud infrastructure on AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, ECS, API Gateway)
- Build frontend applications with React and TypeScript
- Contribute to backtesting pipelines and data-research tooling for financial-markets clients
- Work directly with the engineering lead on architecture, design, and code review
- Write tests and maintain code quality across the codebase
What we're looking for
- 2+ years of production Python experience, comfortable with type hints and testing
- Hands-on experience with core AWS services — Lambda, DynamoDB, ECS/Fargate, API Gateway, IAM
- 1+ year building single-page applications with React and TypeScript
- Strong CSS fundamentals and experience with a utility-first framework (e.g. TailwindCSS)
- Comfortable designing and consuming REST APIs
- Proficient with Git workflows, code review, and CI/CD basics
Nice to have
- Exposure to financial markets or fintech products
- Experience with Docker and containerized deployments
- Familiarity with data pipelines, backtesting, or quantitative research tooling
- Experience with event-driven architectures (queues, schedulers, workflow orchestration)
What we offer
- Full ownership of features end-to-end, not just tickets
- Direct mentorship and code review from the engineering lead — minimal hierarchy
- Real exposure to financial-markets client work across engineering, backtesting, and research
- A modern stack with no legacy debt to maintain
